{ Koekemoer Family Portraits }

It is autumn in South Africa. The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler and the trees have been giving off beautiful displays of color during the month of April. I had a lot of fun walking around the North-West University Vaal Triangle campus a few weeks ago for a portrait session with the Koekemoer family. This session came with an unexpected challenge though – I injured my ankle several weeks prior and had to wear a moon boot and use crutches while recovering. But my husband was a wonderful assistant, helping carry photo gear and working hard from behind the camera to entertain the children. I hope these photographs serve the Koekemoers as a special memory for many years to come!
